Seriously playful food…

Bread & Circus

The phrase “Bread & Circus” was first quoted by the satirical Roman poet Juvenal to explain how keeping people fed and entertained stops them from noticing or complaining about problems – he was talking about the Colosseum and Roman Empire, we are talking about a place that cares passionately about food, and has a playful side.

Bread & Circus needed a brand that could work when they were serious, and when they were having fun – as a young company they needed to make an impact, and have a brand that was versatile enough to grow with them.

They started by selling provisions at a local farmers market and quickly grew into a little place with a big personality, making their mark locally and getting lots of national attention for their food.
