“Like a giant strainer dropped into the river, + POOL makes it possible for everybody to swim in clean river water right here in NYC.” – What a wonderful concept. The guys behind +POOL decided they may not be able to clean the whole river but they could filter part of it and make a unique swimming pool for all to use. They are big news on Kickstarter right now (that’s what happen when you do something big and different). They are funding the pool tile by tile (and yes, you get your name or message on the tile) – this may be the start of a whole gush of civic projects raising money this way.
