I was asked to decorate a Christmas Tree to donate to a local event, The Festival of Trees. The trees are then auctioned off and the money raised go to support Hearts of Hope, a non-profit that helps those affected by sexual violence. My tree was very simple (of course) a black (or very dark green) tree with a white banner – I cut out some of the verses from Mathew, Chapter 2 that tell the story of Christmas. It only seemed fitting.
