Sometimes a simple (and beautifully done) visual is all you need.
Australian student, Celeste Watson, created packaging for HP ink that shows just how expensive it really is (yes, Chanel No5 is cheaper per liter). The project aims to “resolve the current discrepancy between the price of the product and its packaging,”
I love how a strong visual can say so very much.

The $5-7k price is based, and being figured, on what is being paid for ink by the ink in each individual cartridge being sold by HP. Yes that figure is what this discussion by HP is trying to distort. They’ve changed the conversation to justify what they are charging. It is not what ink cost in bulk.
Your newspaper buys the same ink by the 55-gallon barrel, and the cost is only a few hundred dollars a barrel.
What BS comes from PR departments!
