Who doesn’t want to date someone with a sense of adventure, and presumably the spare cash to travel the world – that may be why world travelers are swiped right more frequently.

Once they had this information Wieden + Kennedy New York, came up with this idea and put scenes from nine exotic destinations on a wall in Williamsburg, Brooklyn so that singles could take selfies with the destinations. What a clever and  creative way to celebrate the fact that Delta flies to the most destinations of any airline from NYC – Although clever campaigns like this can’t be tracked in terms of revenue they have an effect on knowledge and perception – and not just for the people who actually took photos or used the #deltadatingwall hashtag, it works for all the others that see it, either in person or on the web. I’m a bit of a geek at heart so I love that it was the research that led to this idea – designers don’t talk about this often enough, research may be unsexy, but it often inspires clever thinking.

The printed photos on the wall, surrounded by cute illustrations by Andrew Rae, feature Honolulu, Paris, Los Angeles, Pisa, London, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Moscow, and Zurich. It will be up all summer.
