tool-the-copycat_10I have been a fan of British designer, Tom Dixon for many years – and now he’s made me smile all over again by working with this years hottest material, brass. His branch stencil is quite beautiful and yes it’s expensive. I’m writing about it on this blog because of the thinking that went into it. Instead of the usual lines of alphabet letters in the usual order Tom has used phrases that contain all the letters of the alphabet – the ubiquitous “Quick Brown Fox” and fairly common “Unwary Zombies” and the new (to me) “A mad boxer shot a quick left gloved jab to the jaw of his dizzy opponent”.

Sometimes a bit of a twist makes all the difference. Find out more and see the other things from the Tom Dixon brass collection here.
