In this simple, heart-warming ad for Google Translate and Android we are reminded that whatever you language you speak, whatever culture you live in, the same words matter. The ‘Be Together. Not the Same’ campaign has been running since October 2014 featuring apps and devices that are meant to bring us closer in some way. This latest ad declares that over 100 billion words are translated using Google Translate every day but for me still the really impressive thing is the Word Lens – you can hold it over a piece of text and it will translate it for you.

Our devices are getting really clever, but as long as we use them to translate the right words, and help with the right things then the world is safe.
