I have a slight obsession with timelapse video at the moment and am crazing one of these cameras – I first wanted one while watching the x-games last year (yes I’m a 47 year old women who loves the x-games). I think I may really believe that if I own one of these I’ll start doing extreme sports (you never know) or it may just be that putting something so well built into the hands of someone who thinks differently may create some great things. The new model (hero2) does both Ten 11 MP photos per second burst and one 11 MP photo every 0.5 sec in Timelapse Mode and those details excite me. It also (by all acounts) takes great video and sound. Is it too early to write to Santa? Find out more on the gopro website or amazon.

I’m not sure how I missed this stuff but I’m ordering some today – I can already think of a million things that it will help make better… Sugru sticks to most things and air dries to a flexible rubber, its strong and durable, you can use it outside, and it’s removable. I haven’t tried it yet but I will, and will let you know what I think. I have some mac cords that could definitely use a little extra rubber and I’m sure I will hack lots of things. I wish they did an all-white pack but I guess most people don’t live like me – find out more here, or those of you who are amazon faithful click here.
Love this ‘A’ stool, would be perfect for my studio, and it would feel very home with my collection of letters. From ByAlex – it comes flat packed (beautifully flat packed) but I’m not sure they ship to the US yet (but hopefully soon?)

It seems to have turned into shark day around here (it’s like shark week only shorter and less informative) Love this Shark attack coffee mug and for when I want tea (and I am English) there’s this amazing tea infuser…
I guess it’s time to inflate my flying shark again and enjoy shark day…

I’m in love – with a watch. OK, it’s so much more than a watch – it may be the device that beams us into the future!
From the Pebble guys:
“Customize Your Perfect Watch. It’s as Easy as Downloading an App.
Pebble is the first watch built for the 21st century. It’s infinitely customizable, with beautiful downloadable watchfaces and useful internet-connected apps. Pebble connects to iPhone and Android smartphones using Bluetooth, alerting you with a silent vibration to incoming calls, emails and messages. While designing Pebble, we strove to create a minimalist yet fashionable product that seamlessly blends into everyday life.”

It’s one of those kickstarter projects that has taken off into the hemisphere – 1 million in 28 hours. Go grab your bit of the future now – here – I’ll be there before you.

I love this Kickstarter idea. A wristband for carrying your key while you are running / walking / dancing in the street. Simple. Clever – what more can you expect.
“The closure of gokey is one of the most exciting features. The key itself acts as the initial closure for the bracelet with the friction between the key and the silicone creating a secure connection. For added security the “go” logo creates a button closure so the wrist band isn’t going anywhere!”
Go and back gokey – ideas like this deserve to be reality!

While I was over at Quirky I found this, Converge – 4 USB outlets that nestle your equipment and is designed for both bottom chargers and side charging equipment. Beautiful. I want one of these.

My birthday is coming up (This is a lie, it’s not until September)… but if anyone wanted to buy me a really cool gift I’d like this rangefinder case for my iPhone. “The iPhone Rangefinder is a phoneography system that gives your iPhone all the style of a classic camera. It’ll equip your phone with a shutter button, viewfinder, aperture numbers, two loops for a camera strap, and a tripod mount!” – In short it makes your iPhone look (and act) like a classic camera, but you can still take calls. I know a few events where I would love to have this slung around my neck.. from photojojo (I will happily send you my delivery address)

What a simple idea (one of those you kick yourself for not thinking of) little green skateboarders in the style of the classic toy soldier. I’m a 47 year old women and I’m sure I’m not their target market but I think they are wonderful… and they have surfers coming out soon (if you know me you know I won’t be able to resist them for a moment)

Today I’m feeling turquoise is a beautifully produced book by Pentagram (it was created as their 2011/12 holiday card).. and I must admit I’m feeling a little bit green that I didn’t get sent one. (one day when this blog grows into a much bigger blog I will be on the list for things like this).
“Because everyone knows that red means anger, green envy, and blue misery. But who knew that olive was the colour of deja-vu, brown the colour of indifference, or pink of laughing on the outside, crying on the inside?” – take a look at a few more pages below and find out more over at Pentagram (if anyone has one of these they can send I will do something crazy in return)

Sometimes all you need is simple – beautifully simple. I love this week view desktop planner – and it’s the same size as a MacBookPro – now that’s clever. From MoreMatter via BetterLivingThroughDesign
