The children of Equatorial Guinea often play imaginary football – this simple and clever non-profit viral challenge was created both to raise the awareness and get footballs. Headed by Benjamín Zarandona Esono – a pretty famous footballer from the country who played in Spain, and the Martínez Hermanos Fundacion. They are asking people to upload a video of themselves playing with an imaginary ball (keep it clean- it’s for the children) with the hashtag #pasoelbalonalosniñosdeguineaecuatorial. (I pass the ball to the children of Equatorial Guinea) and #balonimaginario – although this campaign might not make big news in the US, it’s simplicity and message is sure to make some kids happy.
