We often think other people get ‘lucky breaks’ or knew the right person. We think some people just have it easy, or they are just crazy talented. We think it’s overnight success, good genes, or genius.
We don’t see how much work went in to it. We don’t presume they earned it – night after night learning, trying, failing, doing and doing again.
This is not a new, digital age thing. Even Michelangelo understood.
