It all started when Downton Abbey released a publicity photo – and there was something in it that didn’t quite fit the era.
It was soon noticed by keen fans.. and of course quickly tweeted to the rest of the world.
It became quite a talking (and photoshopping) point…
and then it lead to something GOOD. Instead of hiding their faces and swearing the cast released a photo of them each holding a bottle of water – to help WaterAid, a non-profit organization based in the United Kingdom that seeks to provide clean water, hygiene education and safe toilets worldwide.
I don’t know whose idea this was, but it’s an excellence way to react.
Thank you to Mashable for telling this story, I’m sharing it because it made me smile and I hope we all remember this lesson when something goes wrong. Stuff happens. Sometimes you get to turn a fail into a feature.
