While we all use emojis from time to time (I confess I do) no one understands them as well as teenagers… so using emojis to advertise your brand means you are talking to a distinct audience. Brands love emojis as they are all vying to attach their message to something that is already popular. Taking something that your target market have already adopted and adding your message is a tried and trusted method, Macdonald’s are the latest brand to attempt this as part of their French branding campaign to get the cool kids on their side.
