This week pencils have been catching my eye (not literally – that would be painful). I thought I’d share some of my favorites:

rainbow pencils
There is something about the simplicity of these pencils that shed rainbows as you sharpen them. I think they would always make you smile. Well at least until you realize that your children have stolen them and sharpened them to a stump just to see the rainbows. Find out more here.

A notebook with hidden pencil storage: when I was a kid I would have thought this was the coolest thing ever. They have a less OCD version too. Find out more here.

And now for the most beautiful pencils I came across this week – From Russian design firm The Bold Studio. This clever pencil set in celebration of the brilliant Russian mathematician Grigory Perelman.

Each pencil features a different hardness, and they just look like they would be beautiful to use (and of course just to look at). Start your hunt for them here.
