The seed and the moon is a modern day fable, with a stunning poem from Douglas Malloch that likens the struggle of a tree to that of man. This animated short is also the coolest bank commercial I have ever seen – for forward-thinking Umpqua bank (the West Coast’s largest, and most unconventional, community bank) The soundtrack was produced with Jónsi of Sigur Rós, an Icelandic post-rock band and the whole effect is something quite different and very clever.
I saw this ad in lots of places, but the first (and the one with the best information) was Adweek. (find out more there).
