If you see me smiling to myself as I’m driving, it may be because I have just seen this sign (without the drawing on it). I may even make a comment (the first hundred times I drive past it) – it’s just the way we grew up. We would pass a sign that said “Road Bears Right” and my mother would make us look for the road bears, watch out for Evel Knievel (see picture on right), we wondered why doors were alarmed (what had bothered them?). Thanks Mum (you know who you are). My days are brighter because of you.
